How to Find Us

Hampton Gardens is located in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, just off the A49 between Hereford and Leominster, near the village of Hope under Dinmore. After driving through the gate house, turn immediately right for our Visitor Car Park and Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is a short walk on some gravel from the Visitor Car Park. By Car

Hampton Gardens is easily accessible by car and offers ample free parking for visitors. All times and distances are approximate.

From Hereford (20 minutes south):

  • Take the A49 northbound toward Leominster
  • After 8 miles, at the base of Dinmore Hill, look for signs for the A417 and turn right.
  • After 1 mile the sign posted main entrance is on the right.

From Leominster (10 minutes north):

  • Take the A49 southbound toward Hereford
  • After 5 miles, look for signs for the A417 and Hampton Gardens on your left
  • After 1 mile the sign posted main entrance is on the right.

From Worcester (45 minutes east):

  • Take the A4103 westbound toward Hereford
  • At Hereford, join the A49 northbound and follow directions as above

From Birmingham (1 hour 20 minutes north):

  • Take the M5 southbound to junction 7
  • Follow the A44 westbound toward Worcester/Leominster
  • At Leominster, take the A49 southbound and follow directions as above

 

By Coach

Coach parties are welcome at Hampton Gardens. We have designated coach parking available in the visitor car park and it is accessed through the main entrance. See our Groups & Schools page for more information.

By Train

The nearest railway stations are:

Leominster Station (5 miles):

  • Services from Hereford, Worcester and connecting services from further afield
  • Local taxis available to book by phone

Hereford Station (8 miles):

  • Services from London, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Worcester
  • Taxi rank available outside the station (journey to Hampton Gardens takes approximately 20 minutes)
